TRAINER ASSISTANT

Description:

You will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day management of the program, including training the dogs and working with clients. You will be accountable for creating positive experiences for the dogs and their parents.

The ideal candidate must have a passion for animals and for learning to work with and handle dogs, have a relentless work ethic, demonstrate enthusiasm for acquiring new skills, accept and provide productive feedback, and wants to be part of a fast-paced, quickly changing, exponentially growing enterprise.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow enrichment and development programs to provide dogs with physical, mental, emotional, and social enrichment;

  • Supervise dogs on site and maintain visual observation of dogs at all times, practice situational awareness, and proper dog handling techniques;

  • Use positive reinforcement and effective correction methods, read and respond proactively to dog body language

  • Transport dogs between home and facility and communicate with clients in professional responsive manner;

  • Maintain daily records.

Qualifications:

  • Must have some experience in managing/training dogs 

  • Must be physically fit to lift dogs 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods of time and walk long distances, daily.

  • Must be at least 21 years old and authorized to work in U.S

EXPERIENCED DOG TRAINER

 

Description:

You will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day management of the program, including training the dogs, overseeing supporting employees, and working with clients. You will be accountable for creating positive experiences for the dogs and their parents and achieving operational and commercial excellence. In addition, you will develop meaningful relationships with our clients and other local pet service providers.

The ideal candidate must have a passion for dogs and for training dogs, have a relentless work ethic, demonstrate enthusiasm for acquiring new skills, accept and provide productive feedback, and wants to be part of a fast-paced, quickly changing, exponentially growing enterprise.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow enrichment and development programs to provide dogs with physical, mental, emotional, and social enrichment;

  • Supervise dogs on site and maintain visual observation of dogs at all times, practice situational awareness, and proper dog handling techniques;

  • Use positive reinforcement and effective correction methods, read and respond proactively to dog body language;

  • Adhere to and implement safety protocols beginning at pick-up and ending at drop-off, and at all transition points;

  • Transport dogs between home and facility and communicate with clients in professional responsive manner;

  • Achieve revenue and client satisfaction targets;

  • Maintain daily records.

 

Qualifications

  • Must have prior experience in managing/training dogs (at least 2 years)

  • IABC, CCPDT, or KPA certifications

  • Experience with Social Cognitive Learning and Do As I Do is a BIG plus

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to work a varied schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays

  • Must be physically fit to lift dogs 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods of time and perform requirements of the job

  • Must be at least 21 years old and authorized to work in U.S
